The L.A based band first came into existance out of Fairfax High School, originally called ***"Tony Flow and the Miraculous Masters of Mayhem"*** consisting of a group of mates, being Anthony Kiedis (vocals) Hillel Slovak (guitar), Australian Born Michael "Flea" Balzary (bass), and Jack Irons (Drums)
The Chili Peppers are well known and credited for their energetic live performances and their improvisational talents. The music of the Red Hot Chili Peppers licks on various elements of punk rock, funk, heavy metal, and alternative.
